We’re excited to be a new part of the exciting developments going on in Downtown Abilene.

It is an interesting time in the Downtown area as Condley and Company recently moved into their newly renovated space in the old Grant’s store building on Pine Street. The new Downtown Doubletree Convention Center hotel recently opened just down Cedar Street across from the Abilene Convention Center. The Abilene Reporter-News building is now torn down and gone with the developers looking at several options for the nearly block-square property. Plus several buildings are undergoing renovations including the Bodegish, a walk-up convenience store, and other business development. The Matera Bar & Grill recently opened in the former home of Sockdolager Brewing Co. in the South of Downtown Abilene district at 833 South First Street.

Downtown Abilene has also been named to TheTravel.com ‘s list of one of the best downtowns in the State of Texas! Their list of top 10 downtowns in the state include Wimberley, San Antonio, Galveston, El Paso, Fredericksburg, McKinney, Waco, Fort Worth Abilene and Georgetown.
