The attorneys and staff of Blizzard and Zimmerman Attorneys had a fun time supporting the Abilene Zoological Society at the first weekend of the annual Boo at the Zoo presented by Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union.

We had a ton of visitors to our treat station near the hay bale maze on the east side of the Abilene Zoo on Saturday, October 17, 2021. We were there along with Taylor Telecom and Abilene Hockey. If you missed it you missed out on lots of chocolate candy that we were handing out!

The event continues on Saturday, October 23, and Saturday, October 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Abilene Zoo.

Not only featuring trick-or-treat candy but there were a number of activities including a pumpkin patch, hourly costume contests, pumpkin carving with the pros, and storytime with the Abilene Public Library.

They also brought back Pumpkin Chunkin! You can a pumpkin from a trebuchet into Tiddle Lake at the Zoo.

They also had seasonal treats (including kettle corn) available for purchase along with fun zoo experiences including feeding the Giraffes and the Wildlife Carousel ride.

The zoo set up COVID-19precautions that include one-way paths, especially in the smaller pathways, one way in one way out.  Hand sanitizer is also available all over the zoo grounds.

Masks are welcome. The gift shop does require them along with the interior zoo exhibits if they are open during the event.

The entry fee of $10 per person includes access to all the activities. The giraffe feeding experience is extra along with concession items.

The next event for the zoo will be the Christmas Celebration, which will take place from Dec. 18-23 in the evenings.
