Thanks to all the other co-sponsors of yesterday’s WOW Youth Expo who joined Blizzard and Zimmerman Attorneys in sponsoring the event.
We were truly impressed with all the students from across the Big Country who we talked to whether they were interested in law, or just looking at what career options are available to them.
Criminal Defense and Post Conviction Attorney Sarah Durham was on hand to answer questions. Having formerly been a high school English teacher, Sarah was impressed with the number of students who are looking into a future legal career, whether as an attorney, paralegal, or legal assistant. The event at the Abilene Convention Center is sponsored annually by
West Texas Workforce Solutions.
We also provided handouts at this youth expo letting them know what the top skills employers look for no matter where they end up in the workforce!

Bridging the Gap Between Today’s and Tomorrow’s Workforce
The Annual World of Work (WOW) Youth Expo is where the workforce of tomorrow meets the workforce of today! This dynamic event aims to expose, educate, and engage students from 8th to 12th grade with future career paths, training opportunities, and essential employability skills.
The event kicks off with an inspiring keynote address from one of the nation’s top youth speakers, setting the tone for a day filled with interactive, hands-on experiences. Students will have the opportunity to connect with employers, education and training providers, community partners, CTE programs, and more, gaining valuable insights and practical knowledge to prepare them for their future careers.
