RESULTS: Drug Charges: Early Termination – Supervision
The client was arrested for Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Methamphetamine and was placed on 8 years deferred adjudication, to run concurrently.
Understanding the significance of this situation, our dedicated defense team took action to ensure the best possible outcome.
Defense Strategy
An integral part of our approach was negotiating with the prosecution. We highlighted our client’s cooperation and positive character, which were instrumental in steering the case towards a resolution beneficial to our client.
Voluntary Rehabilitation Efforts
Our client’s proactive decision to enroll in a pre-trial diversion program demonstrated their commitment to rehabilitation. This move was pivotal in influencing the case’s outcome, reflecting our client’s dedication to personal growth and responsibility.
Outcome
The client successfully completed more than half of the deferred adjudication and he hired us to petition for early termination of the sentence.
His charges were ultimately discharged and dismissed. This result granted our client the opportunity to potentially start fresh being eligible for non-disclosure in the future, free from the shadow of a criminal record.
At Blizzard and Zimmerman, we are committed to fighting for justice and providing our clients with the support they need to reclaim their lives.
