Father fights for his supervised rights, gains more access to his children

RESULTS: From Supervised Visits to Expanded Rights: A Texas Father Fights Back

A father, whose rights had been limited to supervised visits for years came to Attorney Matt Zimmerman after his ex-wife filed a lawsuit to modify the custody order to further restrict his access to the children.

Attorney Zimmerman countersued for more access to the children and to lift the supervision requirement. With Zimmerman on the case, opposing counsel chose to not present evidence at a temporary orders hearing.

He helped his client gather evidence and argue that there was no change in circumstances that merits the mothers requested change. Additionally, he was able to show there was a change in circumstances that merited increased rights for Dad. Our clients’ medical support payments were reduced to zero and his child support remained unchanged.

This result represents more than just a favorable mediation agreement. It is a powerful example of how parents with limited or supervised visitation in Texas can pursue custody modifications and regain expanded parental rights.

If you are facing a custody modification lawsuit or seeking to modify a Texas custody order, experienced legal representation can make a significant difference in protecting your relationship with your child and your future.
