Matt’s client, a military veteran, was salty and crass.
He got into a few altercations with his child’s mother after their divorce, and she moved for a protective order against him to prevent access to his son.
To defend the case Matt moved for a protective order on behalf of his client.
While the case was pending Matt counseled his client on how to tactfully communicate with his ex-spouse even when she is being difficult purely for the sake of causing aggravation. Matt was able to demonstrate to opposing counsel that it would be mutually destructive for both parties to get protective orders against each other.
The parties settled outside of court and created their own visitation plan to avoid future disagreements.
