RESULTS: Guardian Ad Litem
As we’ve discussed before, Blizzard and Zimmerman Attorneys believe in community representation for those not able to pay legal services, which is why our attorneys strategically choose the court-appointed lists to participate in based on our interest, mission, & individual passion.
Our attorney regularly represents children in CPS cases as an attorney ad litem (meaning, attorney for the case) and sometimes in the dual role as a guardian ad litem (meaning, a best interest advocate for the case) in Taylor, Haskell, Kent, Stonewall, & Throckmorton counties.
Our attorney believes kids need a voice, an advocate, & sometimes just a stable figure in their life during the chaos that comes from a CPS removal.
He believes in following the Texas Family Code by:
- Seeing his kid’s clients in person,
- Talking with placement families,
- Speaking with parents,
- Working with CPS & 2INgage,
- And investigating the facts.
This month, our criminal defense attorney filed a Motion for Enforcement on behalf of his kid client to ensure that the little girl kept receiving top-notch childcare while her parents worked services & she was in a family member’s care.
In three (3) other cases this month, we investigated & pushed for case closure where the parents made amazing progress & the kids were ready to return home.
At Blizzard and Zimmerman Attorneys we don’t believe in going with the flow, especially when it comes to our kids!
