jury not guilty verdict

RESULTS: Jury finds teacher not guilty

Our client, an elementary school teacher, was charged in Taylor County, Texas with injury to a child where she was accused of slapping her second-grade student.

Criminal defense attorney Jacob Blizzard achieved the not guilty verdict by showing the jury that the child misunderstood the intent of the contact and overstated the impact when the teacher accidentally contacted the child’s face with her hand.

The jury returned a not guilty verdict 25 minutes after being sent in to deliberate the verdict.
