Position Overview:
Blizzard and Zimmerman Attorneys is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented File Clerk to join our team. This position plays an important role in keeping client files, office records, and legal documents organized and accessible for attorneys and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
The File Clerk will be responsible for maintaining physical and digital files, organizing documents, scanning and uploading records, filing paperwork accurately, and assisting with general office support as needed. This role may also include preparing files for attorney review, locating documents upon request, updating file systems, closing and archiving completed matters, and helping ensure that confidential client information is handled appropriately.
General Duties:
The ideal candidate should be organized, dependable, and able to follow instructions carefully. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential. Prior office, clerical, or legal experience is helpful but not required. Basic computer skills and the ability to work well in a professional office environment are expected. The File Clerk may also occasionally assist with answering phones when needed; however, phone answering is a minimal part of this position’s duties.
Qualifications:
* State of Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (often referred to as a TxCHSE, or GED) minimum.
* Attention to detail
* Ability to handle confidential information
* Basic computer and scanning skills
* Dependable attendance and punctuality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Professional attitude and communication skills
Work Environment:
This is a full-time, in-office position located at Blizzard and Zimmerman Attorneys. Remote work is not available for this role.
