Katherine Nicole “Nikki” Proa is an experienced criminal defense attorney with Blizzard and Zimmerman Attorneys and resides in Houston, Texas.
Nikki works on each case with a keen eye for detail, precision, and compassion for her clients in misdemeanor and felony courts.

She is experienced in pretrial and trial misdemeanor and felony matters, including entrance into DWI Pretrial Intervention to help her clients.

She is a member of a number of legal organizations including the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston, and the Mexican American Bar Association.
Nikki was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, and graduated valedictorian of her high school class.
For college, Nikki attended the Ivy League Institution, Brown University, and graduated with an Honors Degree in Classics.
She attended the University of Houston Law Center where she served as President of the Hispanic Law Student’s Association and a competitor/brief writer on the moot court team.

During law school, Nikki clerked for Hochglaube and Deborde in Houston, Schaffer Law Offices in Houston, Carmen Roe Law firm in Houston, Harris County District Attorney’s Office, United States Attorney’s Office Appellate Division, and federal district court judges Alfred H. Bennet in Houston and Marina Garcia Marmolejo in Laredo.
She was also a research assistant to Newell H. Blakely Professor of Law Sandra Guerra Thompson on scientific evidence – a resurging area of post-conviction law.
